Kako instalirati Linux aplikaciju Conky?

U ovome vodiču ćemo proći kroz instalaciju besplatne Linux aplikacije Conky koja služi kao informativni nadzor cijelog računala. Aplikacija Conky je licencirana pod GPLom, a koristi se isključivo na Linux operativnom sustavu kao i na BSDu. Ovisno o konfiguraciji, aplikacija može prikazati opterećenost procesora, memorije, informacije o HDDu, mrežni promet i mali milijun drugih informacija.

Kako biste instalirali aplikaciju Conky, pratite sljedeće korake:

1. korak

Instalaciju započinjemo unosom sljedeće naredbe:

sudo apt-get install conky

Zatim upišite Vašu lozinku i na pitanje “Do you want to continue? (Želite li nastaviti)” odgovorite potvrdno tj. upišite “Y” i odaberite Enter za nastavak. Instalacija će potrajati svega nekoliko sekundi! Conky dolazi već konfiguriran i pokrenut ćete ga s naredbom “conky -a top_right” (bez znakova navoda!), ali nije baš ugodan oku kao što možete vidjeti na slici.

2. korak

Kako bi dobili aplikaciju po našem ukusu izmijenit ćemo postojeću conky.conf datoteku, ali prije toga potrebno je ugasiti već pokrenuti Conky. Gašenje aplikacije ćemo postići unošenjem sljedeće naredbe u terminal:

killall conky

Conky se smješta u /etc/conky/,  a u njemu se nalaze conky.conf i conky_no_x11.conf datoteke.

 

3. korak

Ulazak u Conky direktorij, koji se nalazi na lokaciji /etc/conky, postižemo pomoću naredbe cd/etc/conky.

4. korak

Uređujemo conky.conf datoteku naredbom sudo gedit conky.conf nakon koje nam se otvara conky.conf datoteka čiji sadržaj brišemo te na principu copy/paste unosimo našu konfiguraciju i spremamo promjene. Ukoliko nemate Gedit tekst editor, instalirajte ga naredbom sudo apt-get install gedit.

5. korak

Nakon uspješne izmjene konfiguracijske datoteke, izmjene možete vidjeti ponovnim pokretanjem Conkya naredbom conky -a top_right
